    Important Tuning Guidelines & Policies

    Please review our shop policies before inquiring about an HPtuners custom calibration.

    Liability Waiver Required: All customers must sign a liability waiver acknowledging that modifying factory ECU settings carries inherent risks. Straight Line Auto LLC is not responsible for engine failure resulting from performance parts or custom tuning.
    Dyno Scheduling: Depending on your vehicle and modifications, your vehicle may be specially scheduled for a HUB dyno session at partner facilities across Weld and Larimer county.
    Strict Emissions Policy: We WILL NOT turn off emissions-related diagnostic codes under any circumstances, regardless of software permissions. Keep your catalytic converters intact.
    HPtuners Diagnostic Sessions: Diagnostic sessions start at $250. Additional costs apply if credits are required for ECU changes. This is separate from a full tune.
    Bricked ECM Recovery: If your ECU/ECM is bricked due to a dead battery or power drop, we offer un-bricking recovery for $250 + required credits.
    VATS & Anti-Theft Removal: Proof of ownership is strictly required when requesting VATS (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) removal on GM vehicles or any anti-theft override.
    By Appointment Only: All initial tuning and re-tuning sessions are scheduled strictly by appointment.
    Partner Dyno Rentals: Partner dyno facilities establish their own rental rates (typically ~$200/hr). Customers must be prepared to pay facility dyno rental fees directly upon session completion.
    Street Tuning Requirements: Vehicles scheduled for street tuning must be 100% street legal with active plates, tags, and insurance. Passengers are not permitted during street tuning sessions.
    Credit Purchases Non-Refundable: If credits are required to unlock your vehicle's ECM, credit fees are non-refundable regardless of mechanical or component outcomes.
    Hardware Failure Policy: If a mechanical defect or component failure occurs during a tuning session, the full tuning price and credit fee remain due. Re-tuning after repairs will be scheduled by appointment.

    Emissions & Theft Override Disclaimer: Straight Line Automotive strictly adheres to legal guidelines. Catalytic converter efficiency codes will NOT be disabled under any circumstances. VATS or anti-theft override requires physical proof of vehicle ownership.
